The aim of the competition was to design a free standing temporary pavilion in the heart of Amboseli National park that would allow visitors new ways to view and experience the wilderness and be close to nature.

The pavilion functions as a memorial dedicated to the degenerating ecosystems around the world, and in this case the Amboseli Park. The structure has two aims:

1. To learn what we have lost

2. To realize what we can save.
